More Touching on Woodward?
If you thought that 45,000 people holding hands on Woodward sounded different, wait until you see that about 100 of them are wearing t-shirts that say Touch Is Great! That’s right, these touch lovers heard about the “Hands on Woodward” event and wanted to be apart of history supporting two great causes at once. “My role as a Touch Is Great ambassador is to bring awareness to the benefits of loving touch in preventing touch deprivation in America” says Jonathan Burt, founder of Burt and Company Massage Therapy.” I am also encouraging the therapeutic massage students I teach to also come out and join in on the festivities.” One thing is for sure, the other Touch Is Great ambassadors in Illinois, Virginia, D.C. and New Jersey, can’t touch the enthusiasm and energy that will be experienced in Detroit, Michigan August 19, 2007 at “Hands-on Woodward.”Mr. Burt and his team hope to gain more support for the Touch Is Great national launch September 15, 2007 in Ann Arbor Mi. Event highlights will include families coming together to form the worlds largest hug, Free chair massages and a variety of interactive workshops for children, couples and the elderly. This event has drawn the support of Dr. Dale Glaebach, world-renowned clinical evolutionary psychotherapist and parenting coach who co-authored “Recipes that Cure Touch Hunger” – food for the mind, body and soul.
