Each new year is ushered in with great expectation because this clearly marked 365 days, 4 seasons, 12 months, 52 weeks… offer many opportunities to embrace change, life’s one constant. When this year began, I made a statement that I would play a significant role in the transformation of Detroit. I did not know exactly how, I only knew that it would support the health and well-being of my community.
I am proud to share that in 2013 I aligned myself with an international corporation that donated more than $20,000 to my favorite charity, which provides food and housing for the homeless and marginally housed individuals in Detroit. I was also appointed to the board of directors for the Coalition on Temporary Shelter supporting the Human Services Committee. In addition, the partnerships and collaborations I have directly facilitated will yield economic and agricultural sustainability for years to come.
For me personally, this transformation is yielding the 2nd edition of my memoir, “Thank God for the Shelter: Memoirs of a healer” which will release November during National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week and a new success anthology which will launch October 22 at the Westin Hotel. The Art of Touch Virtual Class I launched a few weeks ago is helping me with my personal mission of touching the world and the Art of Touch Intro Experiences that I host at Whole Foods Markets are opening the eyes of individuals and couples alike to the negative effects of touch deprivation in our society.
In my life transformation CD, Prosperity 220.127.116.11. I challenge listeners to ignite their imagination and create what the creator has made them to create. I hope you will listen to the excerpt from this compilation of poetic prose for life transformation (click below) and if it resonates with your spirit, share your comments below.
We must transcend the illusion of lack and embrace prosperity because it is all around us. If your spirit is broken, get quiet and begin to count your blessings one by one, then “wake up” and rejoice! We have everything we need and more if only we believe.
