Dr. Kofi Kondwani, Assistant Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine writes:
Doctors or healers may prescribe to you what will get you well, even if they are sick themselves. A good psychic can tell you what lies ahead for you, but is unable to avert their own downfall. I have been teaching self-healing through meditation for more than 40 years; yet I am in need of healing myself. I can teach individuals or groups how to reduce their thinking, which in-turn allows their bodies to heal and purify; yet my body still expresses symptoms of diabetes and hypertension.
Self-love and self-care are too often missing from our own toolbox of things we do to master our craft to help heal others. The Hon. Akhenaten S’L’M-Bey and Ms. Versandra Kennebrew have compiled this book to help us understand the importance of loving ourselves. They have provided practical tips throughout the book that we can use personally and share with others at the same time. The authors identify key mistakes of healers which include; spiritually, mentally or physically taking on the pain and stress of clients. When clients are releasing stress, fatigue and pain; where does it go next? Matter and energy cannot be destroyed. They can only be transformed or transferred. Too often it is the healer who draws out, then sucks in the very things client ejects as a result of our services.
“I Love Me,” lists very clear tips and techniques that can buffer effects that negative energy can have on our minds, bodies, behavior, and business success. This book identifies symptoms that may appear and solidify in our bodies as we struggle to help others. It provides positive affirmations, activities and lifestyles adjustments to improve our self-care routines. This book is not to be read just once. It is a resource guide to remind us to routinely nurture and cleanse ourselves.
I will incorporate advice from this book into my life. I want to live a happy healthy life while doing my best to help others do the same. “I Love Me, The Ultimate Self-Care Guide for Healing Artists” has been especially prepared for us who tend to care more for others than ourselves. Let’s do both, self-care and care for others. It is this priceless combination that will assure our longevity as well as our clients.
Dr. Kofi Kondwani is an Assistant Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta Georgia. He has developed a meditation technique called Consciously Resting Meditation and has taught thousands of people to go within and experience the deep levels of silence at the core of our being. He has research the effects of meditation on the mind, body and behavior receiving funding from the National Institute of Health and other national funding agencies.
What’s on The Cover of The Love Tour Guide?
The new self-care guide “I Love Me,” is quickly being placed in Massage Schools and other healing arts education book stores across the U.S. and Canada. This resource is reminding healing artists of the importance of self-care in the prevention of “burnout” and “compassion fatigue.” It is also a quick, easy resource that allows healing artists to share self-care activities with their clients to support them on their journey to optimal health. This life changing book is on the cover of The Love Tour Guide being distributed in cities across the country as a symbol of self-love for all.
I AM a never ending ripple of love and peace, in an ocean of the same. Versandra Kennebrew

“What the world needs now, is love sweet love.” Hal Davis, American Composer
Humanity is crying out for love! We’re tossing and turning through the dead of night. Most of us are trapped in survival mode, in jobs we hate, with mates we want to dump and in bodies we want to hide. Healing artists are no different. It’s time we learn to love ourselves so we can manifest healing in our families and restore our communities.
The health of our healing artists is paramount because clients and patients depend on you to make them better. In this ultimate guide to…

“Who’s the butterflies who runs around from flower to flower, and connects all of us, so that we know which ones are the best ones to land on?” Dr. Oz
After being as a Certified Myomassologist (therapeutic massage professional) for 14-years, working with thousands of health seekers, I concluded that the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® (IIN) was the best place for me to learn how to take my health and wellness career to the next level. I made the right choice.
Although I believe I was born to facilitate healing, being an Institute for Integrative Nutrition® Certified Health Coach, Certified Myomassologist and Energy Field Enhancement Specialist, have given me the skills and infrastructure to expand my personal development company, Versandra Kennebrew Intl. (VKI). We produce a variety of products and events to support health seekers who know the importance of investing in their greatest asset (their health). We help them achieve optimal health and optimal performance in their relationships and careers.
I agree with Dr. Oz, health coaches are invaluable in providing a bouquet of options to people wanting to supplement what our broken health care system has been unable to deliver. Health is mind, body and spirit working in symphony and medication and surgery were never meant to deliver that.
Your well-being and the health and well-being of your family are likely the driving force that wakes you up in the morning. Be the healthiest, happiest person you know, while helping those near and dear to your heart. Consider joining the IIN family of certified health coaches. I would love to share my personal experience with you or you can contact Coach Blair at 877-730-5444, she’s at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition®, New York, Campus. To reach me personally, call (678) 671-4661 and we can discuss next steps .

Touch Recipes for Children Remember when you were a child and your mom washed and combed your hair? The big white bubbles seemed to multiply with every swish. “Close your eyes now”, mom would say to keep you from getting soap in your eyes that would cause the burning and crying only to distract you from the soothing feeling of the scalp massage. Now if you were tender headed like my sister was, your experience may not have been as exciting, nonetheless, this recipe is especially for you. Try exploring a few different shampoo options to find one that detangles the most for your child’s hair type. My favorite is Cream of Nature ultra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Maybe even add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to enhance the fragrance and shampoo your child’s hair while adding a gentle scalp massage. Use your fingers to comb through and detangle before using a comb. Your intention should be for this experience to be nurturing and loving. Release any thoughts that cross your mind about other appointments or duties. This special time should be reverenced because quality time with your children in this day and age does not come frequently. Speak loving words to your child during your special time. Let him or her know how special they are to you. Add these simple tips to your family connect toolbox and pull them out often for best results. Until next month, remember loving touch heals. Touch Recipe Contest By now, you see how touch with loving intention can make a lasting impression on children and adults. Lasting memories and nurturing behaviors are grown from each experience. Now it’s your turn to use your creativity and share your own Touch Recipe. You could win $100 in merchandise from the Touch Is Great Marketplace when you submit your recipe by November 15, 2007. All submissions must be original material written for this campaign exclusively. Send your recipe with 500 words or less to, email@example.com. Touch Is Great 2008 Tour All aboard! Welcome to the Touch is Great Blog. We’re on a mission to eradicate touch deprivation in America. Here we will discuss how touch hunger is affecting our society and ways to reverse this debilitation disease. Let’s start with my definition of touch deprivation; Suffering from poor, loveless or inadequate physical contact. People experiencing touch hunger range from infants to the elderly and my have symptoms such as depression, anxiety, violent behavior or isolation.
Next, I will say that I am a touch expert. I am not a scientist or doctor so all of my comments are coming from more than seven years of hands-on experience as a massage therapist and working with more than 3000 people during my career. If you are a health care professional, I invite you to share your expertise with our readers. If you think you or someone you love may be touch deprived, drop us a line and maybe we can assist you or refer you to someone who can.
Finally, I invite you to view our short video that gives you a visual of what we want to accomplish in this national campaign called Touch Is Great! You have the option to comment on it, rate it, share it or add it to your videos, website etc. Our goal is to reach 1 million people with the simple Touch Is Great message by October 1, 2007 and we appreciate your support in making this happen.
Peace and Blessings,
Versandra Kennebrew M.T.,
